The Weir by Michael Waugh

Just happened to read a review about this album  and after a sample listen, decided to buy.   It didn’t take long to realise this was a great album with a lot of meaning to the lyrics.  Michael Waugh has a pleasant Australian sounding voice and the words are easy to hear.

A terrific singer and great album.

Have now looked up his two earlier albums (from 2018 & 2016)  and have bought those as well.

Mostly very good but didn't like song 2 and the instrumental Irish jig No 5  became very annoying after one listen.

Bring Thunder and Rain by Neil Murray

37.41
One of Neil Murray's best albums
A somewhat reflective album with lots of fine songs.   Favourites were Whispering Casuarina (3), Bring Thunder and Rain (4), It Was Told (5) and Come Away from That Country (10)
Track 2 Wait for Thee was ok but the gospel type songs are not something that suits me and I don't fancy much Get Up (1) and Along the Kidman Way (7), so those don't get listened to all that often.
